Step-By-Step Recipe For Homemade Napoleon Cake

To bake a homemade Napoleon cake, you’ll need two sheets of puff pastry (yeast-free). You can either roll out the dough slightly or leave it as is, without rolling. You can also separate the sheet into two parts. Carefully place the dough sheets on parchment paper without any special preparation. I like to use the Dufour Pastry Kitchen for my delicious Napoleon cake.

Bake each sheet in a preheated oven or air fryer at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes.

Important!

Avoid opening the oven during the first 10 minutes of baking to ensure that the dough rises properly and turns out light and fluffy. While the dough is baking, you can prepare the cream. For the best results, use unsalted natural cow butter and sweetened condensed milk.

Whisk the butter while gradually adding the sweetened condensed milk in a thin stream. Once the mixture becomes creamy, increases in volume, and achieves a smooth consistency, you’ll know it’s ready! There’s no need to add sugar or vanilla. The natural butter and condensed milk will provide a rich and creamy flavor on its own.

After the cakes have cooled, spread the cream over them. You can also crush any remaining pieces of cake to use as a decorative topping. This will add a visual appeal to your homemade Napoleon cake, making it even more authentic.

Enjoy the delightful taste of your homemade Napoleon cake and savor the satisfaction of creating this culinary masterpiece in the comfort of your own kitchen.
